Questions
Will the layout stay the same?
Text, headings and paragraphs are kept, but columns, tables, images and exact positioning are simplified. It works best for letters, reports and contracts. For scanned documents there is no selectable text to extract, so they need OCR, which Haikit does not offer yet.
Is PDF to Word free?
Yes. It is free for files up to 25 MB with no sign-up. Paid plans raise the limits: files up to 100 MB, up to 50 files per merge, and every page for Word and Excel.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser, so your file stays on your device and is never sent to Haikit's servers.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Haikit works in the browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android. There is nothing to download or install.
