Questions

How long can a GIF be?

Haikit uses the first 15 seconds of the video, at up to 480 pixels wide, so the GIF stays a reasonable size. For longer clips, trim the video first or keep it as MP4.

Is MP4 to GIF free?

Yes. You can convert one video at a time, up to 50 MB, for free with no sign-up. Paid plans convert up to 10 videos at once and handle files up to 300 MB.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The conversion runs inside your browser, so your file never leaves your device. The converter itself downloads once (about 30 MB) and your browser keeps it for next time.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Haikit works in the browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android. There is nothing to download or install.
